Acciona wins first Chile PV build

Spanish company Acciona is to boost the opening 7. 2MW procedure of the 360MW Pampa Camarones photovoltaic project in Chile for electric company E-CL.

Under the deal with the company, it is a subsidiary of GDF Suez besides main power generator in north Chile, Acciona will handle design and development, engineering, supply, construction and start up of the plant.

An operation and maintenance authority for two years has also been signed for their scheme in the Atacama desert, some50km south-east of the city of Arica.

Llano Camarones will be the first PV mission Acciona has built in Chile.

Acciona EnergĂ­a Chile general manager Alfredo Solar said: "We are very very happy to be working with E-CL so that Republic of chile can take advantage of its enormous sunlight potential and make progress towards the inclusion of a more sustainable energy software program. "
